Is this thing on?

Just a "lazy" blog to see if this thing still works.

From a local newspaper a few weeks ago:
"and for the year, there were 21 fatal deaths."

Um...as opposed to what? A non-fatal death? Pray tell, how does one accomplish that?


Secondly, why the need to congratulate a person's parents and not that person when an accomplishment is made:

"Congrats on Shelly making the tam," or "Congrats on his graduation". Wait though, was the parent the one busting their ass in the sport, or in the classroom to do well? Give the congrats where its due.
