Love is in the Air
Big ups and Happy Anniversary to my grandparents! 59...that's right, 5-9 years of marriage they celebrate today! What an accomplishment!
59 years, 4 children, 7 grandchildren (and no great-grands, but I vise my grandmother looks at me like she is expecting something!), and they're still trucking on.
Although they probably will never see this, happy anniversary to you both; I love wunna too bad!
Milestones like this also make me think! In today's world where half of all marriages seem to end in divorce, what made the old generations so different? Even though my grandparents quarrel a lot (and trust me, this is the continual source of kixx in our family), they saw it through and remained with each other. When they sit together, whether it be in church, at family get-togethers, or out visiting friends, one can see the love that brought them together back in the "old" days. I hope we all find someone that we can last that long with!

I suppose it's because ppl today are too impatient and want to run away when faced with the smallest of problems instead of working through things. And let's be honest...not enuff men and women today think about committment anymore...at least all they committ to is what feels good in the moment. Carpe diem my nose.

Great grands eh?
